It is one thing when Trump demands that his personal attorneys misrepresent and out right lie to a court, it is another when they want a federal prosecutor to do that.

This prosecutor refused to follow orders from Bondi that constituted a violation of the Canons of Ethics (as well as other statutes). If Bondi terminates him, he will eventually get reinstated with back pay (at least after Trump's control over the system is released) and Bondi will face charges. She will join a long line of Trump attorneys that lost their law licenses…..and Trump? "I GOT IMMUNITY, BABY, SUCK IT!"

* Once you purge your prosecutorial staff of ethical and experienced prosecutors, you end up with a fleet of loyalist political hacks with no ethics incapable of even prosecuting a traffic ticket.

It's not precisely the same thing, but my agency has always told us we cannot be subpoenaed to testify in court. If anyone tries it, we're supposed to refer it to our legal team.

In the 1980's one of my partners and I sued a savings and loan for the wrongful termination of our client. The board of directors claimed they were told by the Feds to fire her (the S & L had FDIC coverage). They couldn't subpoena the Feds to corroborate their defense and it was inadmissible as hearsay without the Feds testimony so they went with Plan B…..that they had good cause for termination. Our client prevailed in the action. Demand: $120K;* offer: $10,000; Damage award by jury: $1.2M. Oops!

*The Demand was based on the client's express wishes that she did not want to be involved in a lawsuit and would be very happy to get 2 years lost wages.

Jared Wise, who was charged but later pardoned by Trump along with more than 1,500 others connected to the 2021 Capitol riot, will serve as a counselor to Ed Martin, director of the "Weaponization Working Group," The New York Times reported.

The newly formed group, established by Attorney General Pam Bondi in February, was tasked with reviewing "politicized" actions against Trump but is seen as another example of the president using federal agencies for retribution against his political enemies.

The DOJ indicted Wise over his alleged role in the Jan. 6 attack in June 2023. Wise, of Bend, Oregon, was charged with multiple offenses, including assaulting, resisting, or impeding police officers….

Police camera footage showed Wise yelling at officers, "You're disgusting. You are the Nazi. You are the Gestapo," during the chaos at the Capitol.

On November 19, 2025 Attorney General Pam Bondi indicated she could not fully detail certain aspects of the Epstein files because they are related to an active federal investigation she recently ordered into Jeffrey Epstein's associates.

During a news conference, when asked about the release of files, Bondi committed to "follow the law with maximum transparency" but noted some material may be withheld to protect ongoing investigations and victim identities. The recently passed legislation forcing the release of the files includes exceptions for documents that would jeopardize an active federal investigation.
