Thus far, more than 26 million taxpayer dollars have been used by the president on his favorite leisure activity. And, as 47 usually golfs at courses that he owns, some of that money goes into his pockets. With regard to time, Donald has played golf on 27.27% of his days in office.

It's not golf, but this counts. He is such an out of touch a-hole.

He didnt even make it to church on Sunday.

So much for getting closer to God after his assassination attempt.

It takes an army of Secret Service agents to secure Trump on his private golf courses and that is why presidents usually stick to golf courses on military bases.

Yes, this is why his golf vacations are so expensive. When will DOGE intervene?

When intervening can be monetized.

Republicans have Trump's back even when it comes to his obscenely wasteful golf habit.

From an article in the British Independent:

During a speech in 2016, Mr Trump criticised Mr Obama signing executive orders, commenting: "Everything's executive order because he doesn't have enough time because he's playing so much golf.

"He doesn't have enough time to convince Congress to do it. This guy plays more golf than people on the PGA Tour."

You could probably add 8-10 strokes to Trump's score if he didn't do this:

No, even though he's going there to promote the opening of a new 18 hole golf course at one of his golf clubs. Strictly a business trip.

I'll have to look up reviews for the new course. I bet it will suck in comparison to the classic Scottish courses.

"WASHINGTON American taxpayers will shell out at least $10 million over the next several days so President Donald Trump can participate in a marketing photo opportunity at his golf resort in Aberdeen, Scotland the profits from which will flow directly into his own pocket.

Trump is planning to visit his golf resorts in both Aberdeen on the east coast and Turnberry on the west. His appearance in Aberdeen coincides with the grand opening of a second 18-hole course there, which Trump has been personally publicizing in recent years.

The trip is unrelated to a planned state visit to the United Kingdom in September, making it by far the most expensive golf vacation to date in either of his terms. It will also increase the total golf tab in his second term to at least $52 million. He spent $152 million in taxpayer money playing golf at his own resorts in his first term.

We've reached a point where the Oval Office is an extension of the Trump Organization, and American taxpayers are footing the bill," added Jordan Libowitz with the group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. "A president should not be spending time trying to make money in a foreign country while in office, but if they do, at the very least they could pick up the tab for their business trips."

Trump's White House officials would not respond to numerous HuffPost queries on the matter ,including specifically whether Trump planned to reimburse the U.S. Treasury.
In public statements, both Trump and his aides have only spoken about a planned meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer."

He can't stop cheating long enough to actually play an honest round of golf. He is a petulant two year-old trapped in a fat man's body. This what people voted for? You have to be a damaged human being to be that craven.

The difference between securing a president that plays golf on a military base golf course vs playing on a private golf course:

"Protecting a president on a military base golf course:

Military bases offer substantial cost savings for security when a president plays golf.

Existing security: Military bases are already restricted areas, minimizing the extensive security sweeps and logistical needs required at a public or private location.

Reduced travel costs: Many military bases with golf courses are close to Washington, D.C. This allows for shorter and less expensive transport, often via helicopter, rather than requiring the use of Air Force One.

Internal resources: The Secret Service can coordinate more easily with military law enforcement and base personnel, who are already part of the federal security apparatus.

Protecting a president at a private golf course:

Security costs for a president visiting a private golf course are much higher and more complex.

Extensive travel: A president's travel to a distant private club, such as those in Florida or New Jersey, typically requires flying Air Force One and a separate cargo plane for the motorcade. In 2025, the estimated operating cost for Air Force One was over $176,000 per flight hour.

Securing the perimeter: The Secret Service must lock down the property and surrounding areas, including airspace, for the duration of the visit. This often requires significant coordination and overtime for state and local law enforcement, which can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars per day.

Private access: Unlike a military base, private clubs are typically bordered by public areas like roads and neighborhoods, creating more security vulnerabilities and requiring more agents to be deployed.

Hotel and amenity costs: Private properties have charged the government for Secret Service agents' accommodations and equipment. For example, some Trump-owned properties have charged the Secret Service high rates for rooms and even for golf cart rentals. In contrast, on a military base, these resources are often provided as part of existing government facilities. "
