But in this moment, this moment this morning, our sacred rule of law is under attack. Journalism is under a attack. Universities are under attack, freedom of speech is under attacked.

And insidious fear is reaching through our schools, our businesses, our homes, and into our private thoughts. The fear to speak in America!

If our government is, in Lincoln's phrase, of the people, by the people for the people, then why are we afraid to speak?

The Wake Forest class of 1861, they did not choose their time of calling. The class of 1941 did not chose. The class 1968 did not choice. History chose. And now history is calling you, the class of 2025."

20% of the Muslim American community voted for Harris so I am glad to see that community get what they voted for. It's good for democracy when people get what they vote for.

….except the farmers voted for Trump, his tariffs are f@ucking them, but through subsidies, all of us taxpayers will pay the price of who they voted for. How cool is that for them?

Bad stuff is happening and it portends more bad stuff. It's been going on for a good while now and was foreseen. It's getting worse. And someone is speaking up about it. Many people are. Many people are not.

So. What are you criticizing???

Bad stuff is happening and it portends more bad stuff. It's been going on for a good while now and was foreseen. It's getting worse. And someone is speaking up about it. Many people are. Many people are not.

Scott Pelley is a corporate journalist whose parent company just buckled to Trump. When he says "voices are being silenced" who is he talking about- he and his fellow journalist/lawyer/university cowards? If so why not direct criticism where warranted. I hope you are correct. There are significant differences, however, between Trump I and Trump II:

This go around:

1. He is out for blood because he purports to feel falsely accused of all the crimes he committed;

2. He has clearly mentally degraded in the last 4 years;

3. He has removed the guardrails that restricted him last time: competent people that constantly fought to keep him in check and talk him down.
Now he has a surrounding cast of incompetent yes men/women and he has purged the militarily, the FBI, the CIA, and the Justice Dept. of all but loyalists.*


*I would like to think Rubio is sane, somewhat competent and trying to save the Republic…..but I'm not sure anymore.

Not all fascists achieved the Nazi standard. They are still fascists when they try to subvert democracy and scapegoat minorities (and are capitalists).
