Volume 4 has the Jimmy legs and I cannot open it after 4 tries.

Neil Young song inspired by Charles Manson:

I got the revolution blues, I see bloody fountains
And ten million dune buggies comin' down the mountains
Well, I hear that Laurel Canyon is full of famous stars
But I hate them worse than lepers and I'll kill them in their cars

"Neil Young knew Charles Manson, having met and jammed with him in 1968, before the Manson Family murders took place. Young was introduced to Manson through Dennis Wilson.
Young later recalled being impressed by Manson's unique songwriting ability. Manson would improvise new, fascinating, and coherent songs on the spot, an aspect of his talent that Young likened to Bob Dylan.
Attempted record deal: Young was so taken with Manson's music that he reportedly recommended him to Warner Brothers executive Mo Austin."

"Fleetwood Mac's 1969 single "Oh Well" was a major underground FM hit in the San Francisco Bay Area, largely due to airplay on two pioneering progressive rock stations, KMPX and KSAN."

Rest in peace, Space Ace.

Bonus: The classic interview where Ace went off the reservation and had Tom Snyder in stitches and Paul & Gene pretending like they weren't pissed off at him

Since this song is being played in a commercial several times a day:

"Nancy Sinatra's "Sugar Town" is a song about the experience of taking LSD, with "sugar town" referring to sugar cubes laced with the drug. The lyrics are a double entendre, with the "sweet" and simple imagery representing the effects of a psychedelic trip, such as heightened sensory perception and a sense of detachment, while being tame enough for radio play."

Fairfield's finest:

I stumbled upon this one and watched it for the anticipated train wreck. To my surprise, it really works. It doesn't say who did it. It's probably an AI creation.

I saw three original Byrds perform together in 1978 when McGuinn, Clark & Hillman played the Boarding House in SF to support this album:

I saw a 4th original Byrd, David Crosby, with Graham Nash at the Hongisto Benefit in 1971 at Winterland and then I saw Crosby again with CSN&Y at a Day on the Green in Oakland in July, 1974, where my buddy took this picture:

Nice. Was that McGuinn, Clark & Hillman album pretty good? Not familiar with it.

The songs on the album are weak with the exception of Bye Bye, Baby.

*The guitarist, Skunk Baxter (Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan), was also a consultant to the defense industry, specializing in missiles. A genius.

Unfortunately, it's counterbalanced by spending too much time on the BI Off Topic board. See double post for details.

We'll all be hell2pay soon enough.
