Great article. I thank you and Cal83 for sharing. I appreciate this as a valid counter of the repeated myopic insistence that Iran must be somehow winning because the price of oil is high. Thank you very much for the truth. It is sad how folks spam negativity because they hate the administration. The administration sucks in many ways but that doesn't mean Iran somehow has control of the Strait or whatever the next made up thing is going to be.

cherry pck all of the "good" stuff you want, there are PLENTY of caveats and really bad outcomes that are still very much on the table laid out in this piece. What it fails to mention what the mission was, the cost of the mission and the aftermath. Yeah, it's telling that all these guys want to talk about is how the Hormuz Strait is not as bad as it was when Iran first closed it down. Not about how we as a nation are actually better off now than when the war started, or how we will be when it ends. Because there isn't really a good answer for that.
