I watched it and forced my one kid that was home to watch it. I feel like people should watch these sorts of things. Kids even more so because they can learn about the federal government and also the politics behind it.

Stuck with it for an hour or so, then couldn't take...

- the endless parade of American heroes he was introducing
- the same ol', same ol' from Trump
- the incompetent Dems franticly looking for some way to counter and failing every time

Whoa, did I just write (above) that people should watch it?!? Having second thoughts on that sage advice... Well, when my kid goes to her 8th grade History class tomorrow, maybe she will be the only student who can explain why the VP sits behind the POTUS, next to the Speaker. Small victories.

I did not watch and couldn't get off the channel fast enough when I did turn the tv on and it defaulted to his speech. No regrets.

American heroes are to be revered and their accolades are so well deserved. It is the person that cynically used them as shiny props and has made both public and private statements disrespecting heroes that I take issue with.
