Somehow, I don't think that post just 2 weeks ago from a Trump supporter on March 6th claiming that gas will stay under $4.00 a gallon is gonna age well.

The United States can maintain gas prices under 4 dollars based strictly on Canadian and US reserves and refining
As a net exporter of petroleum products and crude oil, the U.S. overall makes more revenue when fossil fuel prices rise
The strategic reserve is about 58% full. This is up from historic lows of around 350 million barrels in 2022-2023 after major drawdowns
Careful who you listen to. Money is made by selling panic.
Yes, so no complaining allowed from American gasoline consumers. The American oil companies stand to get rich so everybody else needs to keep their mouth shut. Trump and the American oil companies are willing to accept your sacrifices.
BREAKING: US Treasury eases oil sanctions on Iran, including permiting the sale of Iranian crude and refined products into the United States.

For those that are terribly uninformed like our President and thinking that ships should be "encouraged" to pass thru the Strait ... the shipping lane is only 2 miles wide in both directions, with a 2 mile buffer.
Recall that the Houthi's waged a 2-month long campaign with missiles, drones, and unmanned boats against international shipping last year that parallels Iran's closure of the strait.
The U.S. struck more than a thousand targets in Yemen, but never succeeded in fully halting the Houthi attacks until a truce was reached in May.

Israeli Defense Minister says attacks on Iran will "increase significantly" next week.
Contrary to Pete Hegseth's criticism a week ago of CNN for its news ticker stating that the war is "intensifying"... it certainly appears that the War is in fact "intensifying".
Hegseth has advocated for a more favorable media narrative, urging the press to focus on themes like "Iran increasingly desperate" rather than focusing on the intensification of the conflict.
On March 11th, Trump said that there were was "practically nothing left to target."
And yet Iran launched missiles that hit Diego Garcia Airbase 2500 miles away in the Indian Ocean nearly 10 days after Trump's claim.
Sure sounds like things are "intensifying".

The Iranians are saving a lot of their missiles burried in silos near the coast for the opportunity to hit a big target on the Strait.
Someone should send Trump and his cable TV generals a synopsis of the Gallipoli fiasco.

If you're going to highlight the price of eggs, it's only fair to chart the price data through March 2026 not through March 2025.concordtom said:Cal88 said:When Oil Spikes, Food Prices Tend To Follow pic.twitter.com/XRdtwhba5C

I've been seeing stuff about cost of bombs vs cost of transition to solar/winds/batteries/transmission lines.
Once that's built out, there is no additional cost for the resource. But with petroleum, you burn it and have to keep buying more.
Trump policy sucks.
Big Oil lobbyists suck.
There's a reason why China is building g out their grid on renewables. It's cheaper.

I saw this:
So, if food prices start going up, let's hammer them hard. YOU DID THIS!!
At any rate, my egg post was meant simply to be humorous. Because who really gives a F about the price of a few eggs, yet it got so much coverage and commentary here.
I frankly agree with Trump. Shut the hell ip about the eggs.
We are fighting a massive economic inflation and people are talking about eggs (which was driven by bird flu anyway)?
