I remember a poster here for the last four years who ridiculed others by responding with the statement that the president doesn't control gas prices.

Unless the president embarks on an ill-conceived war of choice blocking the global export of oil and gas.

By assisting the detonation of the Nord Stream gas pipelines?

Why does California have the highest fuel prices in the nation again, bro?

Trump has done a very good job of making sure all other states also have high fuel prices - problem solved! Thank you Operation AIPAC Fury.

And why does the U.K. have significantly higher gas prices than California?

$6.99 is a far cry from $10 but good try

When will we see the first sighting of $10+ gas? (Definitely not at Ralph's though)

Still under $6 bucks for me. I won't drive to the middle of the desert to pay $10. Have fun though!

Do you think that the station above was charging $9.99/gallon two months ago??

That's the obvious point that needs to be made here.

I've noticed that CONTEXT seems to escape most Trump supporters.

Not sure why they aren't able to connect the dots . . . unless its because of their rose colored glasses when it comes to anything about Trump.

You're saying this to Cal88 who just posted an image without context. Thank you for calling him out on his lack of context that entirely changes the narrative of his post. My post was about two stations only miles apart having such drastic differences in prices. All necessary context was provided.

I've noticed that context seems to escape most Trump haters.

I have noticed that some folks just don't know how to make a point. If you really want to make a rational argument, just tell us about the price increases on average in an area since the war started. You can then make an accurate argument that someone can respond to. Don't post random outliers. That is second grade logic.

You clearly missed my point.

No one that I know of in the SF East Bay is paying $6.99 let alone $10 for Regular.
Only in a God forsaken middle of nowhere MAGA town called NEEDLES is that happening.

But that didn't prevent you from posting Trump Propaganda from the NY Post.

This is what I'm currently paying.

Thanks for the well-informed posting Cal88.

The only thing saving us from massively higher prices is the fact that our economy is not as energy intensive as it was back during the Arab Oil Embargo in '73 - '74.

Thank you for verifying that you weren't duped but merely being hypocritical when posting and/or starring posts with inflated gas prices.

I'm so happy that the Price Polizei doesn't have to intervene.
They can be terribly pedantic as you know.

When are you going to give us a current price on KETCHUP at Ralph's?
Or does your wife do all of the grocery shopping?

I paid $5.99 for the bottle on the left.
Hope that's ok with you.

I get that you like to post and butter yourself up to make yourself feel better while simultaneously putting others down but maybe leave people's wives out of your posts, totally unnecessary

003 gets the GMO high fructose corn syrup version.

AI Overview

High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is linked to obesity, metabolic syndrome, fatty liver disease, and type 2 diabetes by providing high-calorie "empty" nutrition that causes chronic inflammation and promotes fat accumulation. It is heavily metabolized by the liver, which can lead to visceral fat storage around organs. [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • Weight Gain and Metabolic Syndrome: As a dense source of calories, it contributes to obesity. It is associated with insulin resistance, leading to increased risk of metabolic syndrome.
  • Liver Damage: High consumption of fructose is linked to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, as the liver converts excess fructose into fat.
  • Inflammation and Chronic Disease: It promotes inflammation, which is a key driver of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and potentially higher risks of certain cancers.
  • Heart Health: Studies link high intake of fructose sweeteners to elevated triglycerides and higher blood pressure.
  • Digestive Issues: It can cause bloating and gas, especially in individuals with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
  • No Nutritive Value: It is considered "empty calories" as it contains no essential vitamins or minerals.
  • Brain Health: Chronic high intake is associated with reduced memory and cognitive issues, according to some research studies. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9]

I've noticed that your posts always get incredibly dramatic and emotional.
You always twist things into some sort of "personal" issue when that's not the case.

I know plenty of married couples in which the husbands leave the grocery shopping up to their wife.

Your claim is terribly irrelevant.
Totally unnecessary.

It was unnecessary for you to include anything about his wife. It was entirely necessary to call you out for doing so.

He doesn't appear to have much of a sense of humor.
Everything is super serious, personal, and dramatic.

Never mind that this is the same person that told me once to lighten-up because "it's just a message board"

Maybe because you always make things personal by commenting personal attacks on people, their jobs, their families, etc. I teach middle school, if I didn't have a sense of humor I would have been run out of this job decades ago.

Lowbrow obfuscation, he is 100% bad faith in that quote above, his job is to spin for Con Inc.

How about your score here, did you have a basic inking about the reason gas prices shot up under Biden, or where you completely clueless about that fact?

I would guess 50-50.

That's a pretty low bar, but OK, so maybe more like 80% bad faith, 20% clueless.
