Jack Smith memo contains 'damning evidence' about Trump's handling of classified documents, top Democrat says https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/trump-administration/jack-smith-memo-trump-classified-documents-cannon-congress-doj-rcna265060

"The Justice Department's release of documents from Smith's investigation to the Republican-run House committee for its probe into the past investigations into Trump might have violated U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon's order barring public disclosure of materials from the special counsel probe, Raskin said."*

*The Justice Dept. stepped on its dick here and undoubtedly inadvertently produced this documentation which is not only hurtful to Trump but violates Judge Cannon's order.

This is yet another example of the quality of legal work that you get when the only lawyers you have left in the DOJ are incompetent ideologues. Trump is going to blow an O ring over this f@uck up and Bondi is going to catch lots of the elephant spray.

When the witness you called before a Senate Judiciary Committee for the purpose of feeding red meat to your base before the midterm elections could have really done you a solid if he asserted his Fifth Amendment rights but……..

"Former special counsel Jack Smith said Tuesday that he stands by his decision to bring charges against President Donald Trump over his mishandling of classified documents and role in the Jan. 6 attack.

"Our investigation developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in serious crimes against our nation," Smith said during a hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

"If asked whether to prosecute a former president today, based on the same facts, I would do so regardless of whether that president was a Republican or a Democrat," he said.

"I stand by my testimony before the House of Representatives, and I will not be silenced by continued threats of prosecution," he told the Senate committee."

Schmitt's error is symptomatic of the competency of the Administration and those politicians that support it.
Even if Jack Smith was guilty as charged, the DOJ would not be able to field a team of prosecutors (or even one) with the legal skills required to survive the law and motion stage.

Those Biden era accusations are stale and mostly irrelevant, based on small technicalities.

Why not investigate Trump on real crimes done on a large scale in his second term, such as insider trading activities, or Kushner, Lutnick and co making billion dollar side deals on official visits, or slush funds from Venezuela, Gaza etc?

Could it be any more obvious that Trump is the puppeteer with his fist up Sen. Schmitt's arse and moving his lips to call Jack Smith a "Dirt Bag"?

Trump was also fisting Sen. Kennedy today at the hearing:
Senator John Kennedy questioned Jack Smith about his wife, filmmaker Katy Chevigny, asking about her political views and whether she was an "ardent supporter" or earned money from projects connected to Barack Obama and Michelle Obama.

The Response: Jack Smith declined to answer, stating repeatedly, "I'm not going to talk about my family here today. I'm here to talk about my work as special counsel."

Anyone that has watched organized crime dramas is familiar with the implied threat made against wives and kids just by raising the subject.
It was depicted in Season 2; Episode 2 of Mobland when a London mobster mentioned the wife of a bent copper that he is conspiring with (to attack Pierce Brosnan's gang).

Trump loves mob culture and James Comey said Trump actually conducts himself like a mob boss. My guess is Trump made sure Jack Smith's wife's name was raised as a threat in the hearing today.

Jack Smith to Sen. Kennedy: "Say my wife's name again. Say my wife's name again, I dare you, I double dare you motherf@ucker, say my wive's name one more Godd@mn time!"*

Because Democrats want to be able to cash out on their own insider deals when they are in power. They will of course be more subtle and not as blatant as Trump is about it, but nobody wants to mess with the gravy train.

The good thing about Trump is that he exposes how rotten our whole government is which gives some small hope that the voters will eventually demand that their government do something about all the corruption.

Whenever a Conservative gives this intro to a statement:
" ….to be fair this is absolutely hilarious but….."

….it is probably a good time to reach for your wallet.

Why does MAGA (and those in philosophical alignment with them for their own purposes) think that the fact that they find something "hilarious" somehow adds weight and validity to their opinion? I assume "hilarious" it is just a word in the MAGA debate glossary.

But the sad thing is, Americans are too stupid, too naive, too manipulated, too partisan to recognize what Said Report will be telling them.
Instead, they will respond as brain dead reactionaries same as we see here in OT.

*Thank you, Quentin Tarantino

Jack Smith is the last person that would be a threat to Trump. He has been cancelled.

*Trump no longer wields cancel power. As pointed out earlier, the USS Trump is taking on water and any rat that doesn't want to drown with him is jumping ship. Any lawyer that wants to continue practicing law outside of the state of Florida (which state wouldn't disbar a MAGA lawyer for murder) is getting out of Dodge.

Smith is 0-2 on Trump prosecutions. He's not getting a third chance.

Jack Smith was twice denied the chance to prosecute Trump. Hoping he becomes AG in 2029.

Wow!
GREAT CALL!
I love it!!!
