Maybe someone could talk me down. I am really scared that he is going to at least ORDER the dropping of a half dozen tactical weapons on Iranian cities tonight. I realize that I have TDS but seriously, is anyone else worried?

It's very worrisome, never before in my lifetime have nuclear weapons been put on the table by a POTUS and his advisers. Mark Levin in particular suggested it, invoking the motive used to buke Japan, as discussed by Mearsheimer:

I know two very high net worth people in my extended social circle who have build or are building elaborate bunkers with a decade's worth of food.

I don't think nukes would be used right now, but very possibly down the road later this Spring in a situation where a large land invasion of Iran goes wrong.

I am very worried that things will escalate further this evening, though I almost can't conceive of the use of nuclear weapons.

That said, I can almost imagine, in Trump's mind, using nukes being on the list ahead of using ground troops (which would be plenty bad, right there).

This is a scary moment in our history.

I think using nukes in a situation like this would be a bridge too far for many of the higher-ups in the Pentagon.

That said, a rupture in our military leadership is rather unsettling in and of itself.
