Burdick was a Cold War liberal who supported the Vietnam War.
After having completed his undergrad at 'Furd he went into the Navy for four years.
In 1958, he was co-author of the novel The Ugly American

Just an observation, but this was never a Mother's Day thread.

What would lead you to such a claim?
It was a Mother's Day thread.
Respect it as such.
Period.

I'd assume based on the picture you posted with the original post and it seemingly having very little to do with Mother's Day

You assumed wrong.
That's a Cal Bear Mom attending her son's water polo competition in Berkeley at Spieker Pool with a Cal alum (me) whose parents also attended Cal.
It's terribly sad that you continue to hijack threads like this from proud Cal alums and parents with such pettiness.
Please stop doing this.

I didn't even hijack it bro, I responded to your question. That's cool that she's a mom but you gave us no context at all for that lol, not sure how you thought we'd assume that. Brando's weight is really on topic ain't it?
