In 2025 the Trump Administration removed the parasite cyclosporiasis from it's mandatory reporting list. Now there is a widespread outbreak that states and the Feds are trying to understand the scope of after being caught underprepared. The parasite comes through lettuce and other greens and eventually causes explosive diarrhea.

But at least cutting all that waste, fraud, and abuse balanced the budget, right? RIGHT?

I had the runs for 6 days and lost 7 lbs so fair chance I had it. I felt pretty sick within an hour of eating at a fast food place so I assumed garden variety food poisoning …..until the runs kept running.

Mexico based lettuce supplier, Taylor Farms, was identified as the source of the lettuce that contained the parasite that causes explosive diarrhea. Taylor Farms had donated $1M to a MAGA PAC after Trump relaxed the parasite reporting rules.

After they were identified by the FDA, Taylor Farms hired a Trump White House official who then visited the White House for Taylor Farms. Subsequently the FDA retracted it's claims regarding Taylor Farms lettuce but the company is still voluntarily withholding it's lettuce.

Many layers of bribery going on here. Just another day for the corrupt Trump Administration. Barely even newsworthy anymore. That's how far our country has fallen.

How is it that Taylor Farms had made a $1 million donation to the Trump-aligned super PAC MAGA Inc on March 26, 2025 and that's NOT newsworthy?

That's just six days after the FDA announced it was pushing back the implementation of its "Food Traceability Rule" by 30 months.

I guess you don't have an issue with corruption that endangers our food supply?

I'd argue that I crush more people like Kirk, Erica, Noem, Heggy, DeSantis, Graham,Mitch, Chao, Boebert than DJT. I think DJT is kind of muddling through the dementia at this point.

Taylor Farms has voluntarily recalled all of suspect lettuce from Mexican plant.

Investigation continues

Everything else in this thread is hysterical paranoia

To be more specific, the false positive that you cite above only applied to one specific shipment of lettuce supplied by Taylor Farms, which the FDA does not believe was the vehicle that sickened more than 1,600 people and potentially thousands others.

Moreover, the FDA said its false positive does not change its prior conclusion that the outbreak is linked to shredded iceberg lettuce from central Mexico supplied by Taylor Farms.
