U.S. District Judge Ana C. Reyes has declined multiple requests for a temporary restraining order or injunction that would halt maintenance or the broader plans at East Potomac Golf Links.

In a May 2026 hearing, she allowed necessary maintenance (including of hazardous trees) while orally directing the government to provide advance notice before removing more than 10 trees or bringing in major equipment. That direction was oral only and was never issued as a formal written court order. The parties were instructed to negotiate formal notice procedures, but they did not reach an agreement.

The National Park Service and Interior Department describe the recent work (reports of more than 60 trees removed in the weeks leading up to late August 2026) as routine maintenance; selective removal of hazard, non-native invasive, declining, or dying trees.

Nothing was done against the law or against a court order.

Yeah, we are so set up for energy DOMINANCE that our Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) is at 289 million barrels and the lowest since 1982.

We are getting close to the point of the operational minimum which is where the reserve may find it difficult to pump and process oil efficiently.
