Before that blew my mind, I was thinking, "oh, they are now just trying to flood the zone with Fear of Socialism."

Like, 10 years ago it was Fear of Mexicans and build the wall.

Fear is the strongest motivator when it comes to getting people to vote.

And Trump is an incredible blamer, complainer, attacker. So, we will hear these and many more "threats" against us, the American way, our economy, our religion, our standing on the global stage….

There will be things you didn't even know you should be fearful of losing, and suddenly you'll be hypnotized into thinking "they", "it", "that" is a real problem for you, and Trump is the only one who can solve it!

Didn't DOGE or Col.Bone Spur get rid of the staff that would handle such an outbreak? It looks like workforce and budget reductions in the FDA's CORE team and the CDC created conditions for a delayed response. The loss of experienced experts and personnel is a contributing factor to the over 4000 cases.

If the CDC is like my agency, when DOGE took the axe to the payroll, it was almost exclusively employees over the age of 50 along with recent hires still in their 1 year probationary period. That created enormous staffing shortages with jobs previously covered by experienced people now being covered by young employees in the early stages of their careers. Mistakes were made due to inexperience. We've been hiring people to fill our staffing shortages, but it's just replacing people with 20+ years of experience with people having little or no experience. I imagine it's the same or worse at the CDC. It's going to take years to repair the damage DOGE did.

The loss of experienced experts and talent, is a familiar story for many government agencies and the depth of loss that the agencies are experiencing will be acutely felt by the public for years to come.
