If it's the same Grant Din, I went through junior high and part of high school with him. I hadn't thought of him in years. Brilliant guy, the one I always measured myself against. He went to Yale, which not many middle class kids from Oakland managed. I tried but only made the wait list. After Yale, he returned to the Bay Area and seemed less happy and somewhat bitter. I wondered if something happened to him there.
