I think the quote is worse than the tape, because on tape e I think he simply didn't complete his sentence. I think he was comparing the IF Iran used a nuke, compared to this War, war is a smaller price to pay.

Not really. Even I agree with that unanimous decision as individual states shouldn't be allowed to block candidates under the 14th amendment. However, only 5 Justices supported the full argument outlined in the decision. The 3 liberal justices said the 5 justice majority was wrong to dictate that only Congress could block a candidate. They argued no decision on the matter of how the Federal government could block a candidate was needed in that ruling. Justice Barrett also wrote her own opinion basically saying the same thing. So the Court was actually split 5-4 on the more meaningful question of how to block candidates, as clearly I don't think anybody wants states being able to make their own determinations.

A good Supreme Court would have ruled 9-0 as it did on the question of Colorado blocking Trump but then used it's authority to block Trump on it's own. Of course that was never going to happen with this Court and I said so at the time.
