Dear Bearister: equating Trumps' environmental policies with Nazi tank divisions would be laughable if it were not so sad. The more energy independent America is, the less she has to rely on the rug-dealers in the middle east. America now exports more oil& gas than it imports. On balance, this is so preferable that I know 34 nursery school kids who agree. Saving snail-darters is fine & dandy, but one has to weigh all the consequences of doing so. Think of all the American kids who won't have to go the Middle East to prop up corrupt regimes because we have an abundance of oil here at home. I assume you have hugged your favorite tree today...
