I disagree. If there is a good candidate, and the Democrats try to take him down, let them. Hopefully, the candidate has his own team who will be effective in fighting back.

Trump is an idiot. No one has to twist what he says. Someone could just repeat what he says and people would think it is a bad parody because no one could be that bad.

So, no, I have rarely felt this way about a Republican candidate. And I don't even think he is a true Republican. He definitely is not conservative. If anything, his core platforms (immigration and trade barriers and isolationism, with pandering to Communist authoritarians) are what I hated about the Democrats in 80s and 90s before Clinton.

As we all know, Trump lies and makes sh*t up. Lying and making **** up is like breathing to Trump. The idea of not lying and not making **** up is not even a concept to him.

In 2016, using thinking like the quoted stuff above, a bunch of people decided that both are bad so they're the same. In 2016 terms, Hillary was equivalent to being slapped and Trump was equivalent to being shot in the face. A bunch of people decided to get shot in the face because they didn't go beyond "both are bad options".

Biden isn't going to be a great president. Worst case he makes awful hires and he's center-left GWB. Still MUCH better than Trump.

For the sake of argument, let's concede both tRump and Biden were not the brightest bulbs in their primes, and now they are combo players being both stupid and old (yeah, I know, this requires a real suspension of reality).

The difference is that tRump can't get anyone but rear end kissing and corrupt 4th stringers to work for him. Even at that he can't fill all the positions and the ones he does fill go vacant because of resignation. On top of that, he won't listen to anyone or follow their advice.

I am fully convinced that Biden can fill the positions with starters. Reagan did it and the Republic survived even though for his entire second term Ronald thought he was on a movie set filming Bonzo Goes to Washington.
