Based on a review of their post histories, and in light of their support of the tRump Administration, the cast of characters at the RNC Convention, and of Fox News opinion show hosts: I question both the sincerity and motivation of the Conservatives in this thread that are enthusiastic champions of Malcolm X, particularly with regard to that specific quote.
I don't know enough about Malcolm X yet to have an opinion. But his quote did catch my eye and I will read his biography to learn more.
Read his biography and you'll notice (not just this quote) that some of his line of thinking is remarkably similar to black conservatives today. Yet white liberals on this site attack the conservatives but not Malcolm X. I have yet to hear a single explanation for this...when I point this out they just cry And scream and say "orange man bad you hurt my feelings orange man bad!" Despite the fact this has nothing to do with orange man.
Malcolm quotes
"I believe that there will ultimately be a clash between the oppressed and those that do the oppressing. I believe that there will be a clash between those who want freedom, justice and equality for everyone and those who want to continue the systems of exploitation."
There is nothing in our book, the Koran, that teaches us to suffer peacefully. Our religion teaches us to be intelligent. Be peaceful, be courteous, obey the law, respect everyone; but if someone puts his hand on you, send him to the cemetery. That's a good religion."
We are nonviolent with people who are nonviolent with us."
Nobody can give you freedom. Nobody can give you equality or justice or anything. If you're a man, you take it.
So this is the mainstream of black conservative thought- funny, it sounds like the "radical anarchist mobs" they are always ranting about. I look forward to seeing them in the streets
