No. But you get the dishonor of knowing you support the Trump family's lavish lifestyle.

This reminds me of this 2016 article that is one of the best examples of investigative journalism..

I paid much more than $750 in federal income taxes last year, but I am a stay-at-home dad / retired public school teacher, so it stands to reason.

Doesn't pay taxes, lives in public housing, eats on the taxpayers dime, and travels for free in transportation he doesn't own. This is the welfare queen that Reagan was warning us about.

Obama was required to pay for White House food. I'm assuming it's the same for Trump.

...but he can't be investigated or arrested for tax evasion for acts LONG before being president because...?...because...?...oh, right. There's a memo. And of course having the government look at his taxes would distract him (though he would do nothing during that investigation) from running the country...oops, I meant playing golf and ignoring the greatest health, economic, and security threat of the last century. Plus you know, he needs to gather Americans without masks so he can lie to them and feel good about himself.

" At a news conference shortly after the article posted, Trump called the findings "totally fake news, made-up, fake," but didn't dispute any specific point.

Asked how much he's actually paying, Trump replied: "[W]ell, first of all, I've paid a lot, and I paid a lot of state income taxes, too." Axios

Now he can prove The NY Times story is false by producing his tax returns. Yeah, right.

" Now there's evidence that the president has been paying far less in income tax than many of the blue-collar workers who voted for him."

He won't lose a single vote from that crowd. Fear and racism overrides everything, including tRump's felonious conduct.

going,

Trump's tax returns are not subject to audit 3 years after the filing date unless fraud can be proven and then the audit period extends to 7 years.

For example, if Trump filed his tax return for 2019 on April 15, 2020, the audit period for the 2019 tax return ends on 12:01 AM on April 16, 2023.

Trump is still fighting with the IRS over a $73M refund he received in 2010. I would expect every year since then is also under audit and there could very well be years prior to that still under audit.

Trump keeps saying he will release returns when he isn't under audit, but my assumption is that he's always been under at least one audit. That said, he must have returns that have been closed out and he has never released anything. Why not show us 1980-2005?

Unit2,

Do you still have copies of your tax returns from 1980-2005 or have they been put in the shredder?

I posted tweets from James Poniewozik, chief TV critics of The New York Times.

Here's his essay on Trump and The Apprentice:

Are you suggesting that the tax returns which have been provided to the NYT don't actually exist?

As far as I can tell, neither Trump nor his accounting firm nor his lawyers have ever made that claim so I'm curious as to why you think it's relevant to this discussion.

If so, you are an American patriot ... far more patriotic than the POTUS.
And if you didn't, you are pound for pound far more patriotic than that gas-bag.

Trump has taken a financial hit by being President. He donates his entire salary to Charity. The only question concerning his taxes is this: Did he do anything illegal???If yes, we can have a discussion. If no, there is no discussion. The end.

I've always thought that's the reason he doesn't want to reveal his returns -- they give lie to the "I'm a great businessman" narrative.

My guess (based on absolutely no knowledge other than I believe I know a con man when I see one) is that if he had put his inherited money in a savings account he'd be worth more than he actually is.
