As a member of the anti-Trump butt hurt crowd, I'll answer that.

I have been THRILLED that Trump is gone.
I have noticed a marked improvement in my mood.
I have noticed that I don't feel the panicked need to check the news regularly - on the lookout for how he's going to F this nation next. We are on relative auto-pilot again. Order is restored. Normalcy to some degree.

If there are new things that I have gotten upset about it's the fact that the Pro-Trump Crowd (you) keeping posting insane things on this OT site.

It's really something how the tide has shifted here. Before Jan20, people aligned with me would post here all the time.
But now, it's people like you who are continually posting stuff.
That just makes me laugh. Like, oh, look at that - you guys must be the butt-hurt crowd now!!!! :-)

Trump is the worst president in the history of this country. Unfortunately, he may not retain that title as this country is full of gullible people who are easily swayed by propaganda on both sides of the aisle. But his term showed the strength of our democracy.
He set fire to the emoluments clause,
lied constantly, and
politicized the pandemic (that last is why he's not president, absent the pandemic, he still would be). But for most of the citizens of the country, their lives were remarkably unchanged during his four years of office. The only thing that changed is rich people got to pay a lot less taxes. The same wars that were fought by Obama were still fought by Trump, but no new conflicts were started. For all of the bleating about the Paris accords, the United States is still contributing just as much to global warming under Biden as they did under Obama and Trump.

Every prediction about the country becoming a fascist state was laughably wrong. He's nothing but a common white collar criminal. The kind you find all over Wall Street.

What happened - you woke up this morning and said, "I think I'm going to answer this one?"

1) Yes, I did it (anxiety) to myself. But I believe it's my civic duty to understand what the hell is going on. I would not be one to march off to war just because some leader says I'm drafted and must go. I must instead decide based upon my own education, knowledge, and conscious. Same applies to other things, right down to who I'm going to vote for, whether I become politically active with my voice to influence others.

2) The 4 years were not a wash. Please don't be so blas. Trump has greatly expanded culture wars, worsened behavioral norms, contributed to deaths of thousands, weakened American stature.... We could go on.

3) You downplay the ramifications of Jan 6. Trump attempted a coup. He tried to overturn the election, and could have gotten political leaders killed. Had he been successful in his dastardly goals, he easily could have gone forward in turning America into a fearful state with a President For Life. It didn't work, but that doesn't mean those wary of his intentions were "laughably wrong." A lot of hard work, personal sacrifice, and guts went into making that nightmare a non-reality.

Now then, why don't you tell us your real name - that is, your alter ego BI screen name.
