In 1992, the Oakland A's had Jamie Quirk, Jerry Browne, and Eric Fox on the team. In one game, LaRussa played them in the same game, but he blew the opportunity of a lifetime.
The batting order toward the bottom had Quirk, Fox, Browne. It was a late season game and didn't matter. In that situation, you HAVE to bat Quirk, Browne, Fox in order.
Deplorable.
