Schwartz And Jordan Named AP All-Pro

BERKELEY – Former Cal football student-athletes Mitchell Schwartz and Cameron Jordan were named to the NFL's Associated Press All-Pro team announced Friday. Schwartz was a first-team selection for the first time after earning second-team recognition in both 2016 and 2017. Jordan is an All-Pro for the second time after being a first-team pick in 2017.

FIRST TEAM

Mitchell Schwartz, OT, Kansas City
• Earned first-team All-Pro honors for the first time in his career in 2018 after being a second-team pick in 2016 and 2017
• Started and played in all 16 regular-season games in 2018 to extend both his regular-season consecutive games started and played streaks to all 112 contests possible during the first seven seasons of his NFL career with his current consecutive starts and games played streaks the longest in the league among offensive linemen, playing five seasons in Cleveland (2012-16) before joining Kansas City in 2017
• Played in all 1047 offensive snaps during the 2018 season while also recording one fumble recovery
• Has played every offensive snap possible since joining the NFL in 2012
• Helped Kansas City earn the top AFC seed in the NFL Playoffs following the 2018 regular season and will host the lowest remaining AFC seed on Saturday, Jan. 12 (1:35 pm PT, NBC)

SECOND TEAM

Cameron Jordan, DE, New Orleans
• Earned All-Pro honors for the second time in his career in 2018 with a second-team selection after being a first-team pick in 2017
• Also picked up fourth career Pro Bowl selection in 2018
• Started and played in all 16 regular-season games in 2018 to extend his regular-season consecutive games started streak to 113 and his consecutive regular-season games played numbers to all 128 contests possible during the first eight seasons of his NFL career (2011-18)
• Registered 49 tackles, 12.0 sacks (-67 yards), 18 tackles for loss, 21 quarterback hits, six passes defended, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery during the 2018 regular season
• Tied for sixth in the NFL in tackles for loss during the 2018 regular season
• Helped New Orleans earn the top NFC seed in the NFL Playoffs following the 2018 regular season and will host the lowest remaining NFC seed on Sunday, Jan. 13 (1:40 pm PT, FOX)
