Los Angeles, CA:  Cal, playing without the injured Paris Austin and sporting an overhauled starting lineup, came out with energy and efficiency early here in Westwood, but could not sustain it against the longer and more talented Bruins, ultimately falling 98-83.

Kris Wilkes led the Bruins with 18 points, Moses Brown had 16 points and nine rebounds, Chris Smith had 15 points, Jules Bernard 12 and Prince Ali 11 in a balanced UCLA attack.  UCLA outrebounded Cal, 42-36, and had 18 assists to Cal’s 9, although UCLA did have 22 turnovers (to Cal’s 19).

Nope. I read the headline, and the two paragraph article, which talks about the start of the game and doesn't explain the headline. And I saw the score.

Hey Eric,

When are you going to wake up and realize that CAL cannot play run and gun basketball?

They don't have the talent, they never will, they need to play a more deliberate style of basketball focusing on fewer possessions for the opposition.
