I noticed that this Digest has an article on Cal football recruiting. I bet it was interesting and maybe even upbeat.

The hopeful among the BI fans probably gained a lot of...of...of hope, I guess.

Yes, I obviously didn't read this article. This is no big deal because I can see how Cal is doing with respect to football recruiting especially with regards to the other conference members.

For the 2019 recruiting year, Cal is ranked fifth. Unfortuately for the Bears, three of the higher ranked teams are in the same conference section as Cal. I just don't think Cal is going to raise anyone's ears until they can at least recruit as well as Oregon, Washington, and...the dirty furds. Even then, if Cal were ever to become competitive to lead their section, the Rose Bowl will remain some myth in Bear lore when you think of how unapproachable u$C recruiting is.

Oh, I realize the fervert of you will cite the recent wins over UDub and the Trojans...the good wins that they were. I still look at such wins as hiccups from the norm for Cal in that such wins are due more to some opponents' momentary weakness or letdowns rather than to Cal's overall superiority. I mean, how many of you really expect Cal to beat these two teams again this coming season?

Anyway this is my contention barring the above secret article dissuading me otherwise. If no one who has read the article comments, I guess we'll never know.
