There’s been growing hype among Cal’s under-the-radar defense. For a team that has finished with two winning records over the past seven seasons, pundits and the fanbase alike are hesitant to be overly optimistic. But with a strong returning core from one of last year’s best defenses in the country, it’s logical to think this year’s Cal defense could be the best in the conference and once again, one of the best in the country.
