Though it was unplanned on their end as far as timing, Cal received a pair of big commitments from Granite Bay offensive tackle Will Craig and running back/linebacker Evan Tattersall on the same weekend in May, establishing strong recruiting momentum for the 2018 class.

The duo has led Granite Bay to a strong 5-0 start so far, including a tight 28-21 win on the road at rival Del Oro in Loomis Friday night, not decided until Del Oro's final unsuccessful onside kick attempt.
