Cal vs. Oregon Captains Named

Heading into their 7:30 pm game in Eugene, Oregon the Bears named their captains for Week 5.

Junior Vic Wharton has led the Bears in receiving so far this season, with 21 catches for 341 yards (16.43 ypc) and three touchdowns through four games, including a big touchdown in the 4th quarter of Cal's comeback win over Ole Miss.

Senior linebacker Devante Downs has unquestionably been the Bears' leader on defense, leading the team and Pac-12 overall with 46 tackles, three sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and five tackles for loss.

Senior defensive end James Looney has led the defensive line, regularly doing battle with double teams while compiling 14 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, a shared sack and regular pressure in the backfield.
