Redbox Press Conference: Illini QB Peters Will Play

Illinois provided the biggest news to come out of Friday’s Redbox Bowl news conference: starting quarterback Brandon Peters has been practicing and will play against Cal in the game Monday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

Peters, sustained a concussion in the Nov. 23 Illini loss to Iowa and was held out of the season-ending loss to underdog Northwestern. The Illinois offense suffered in his absence.
