Weaver, Garbers Are Football MVPs

 Evan Weaver and Chase Garbers picked up Cal's Bear Backers Award as the Golden Bears' Most Valuable Defensive and Offensive Player for the 2019 season, respectively while Marcel Dancy (Stub Allison Award, Ted Agu Award) and Nikko Remigio (Berkeley Breakfast Club Award, Stub Allison Award) (Offense) won a pair of honors each to highlight a series of team awards announced Saturday at an awards ceremony at the Grand Hyatt in San Francisco during the squad's trip to the Redbox Bowl.
