Stanford takes over top spot, Arizona schools on the rise

USC's trouncing at Notre Dame not only dropped the Trojans from the top spot in the rankings, but also all but assured that no Pac-12 team will be invited to the national championship playoffs.

Stanford, the new power rankings leader, has two losses and no chance. Only Washington or WSU can finish with one loss and they would need huge amount of help from around the country to make it into the playoff picture.
