Bear Insider Video: Frosh OL Bastian Swinney

Michael Saffell’s retirement from football for medical reasons has had a domino effect on the Cal offensive line. One of the biggest dominoes is 6-6, 310-pound freshman Bastien Swinney. 

He has been moved to center as one of the backups to Brian Driscoll, who has taken over from Saffell as the starter. Swinney is getting a crash course in the position as he indicated in the accompanying video.

“I  have never played center in my life.,” Swinney said.
