Lu-Magia Hearns Making a Difference on Defense

The Cal defense has gradually improved this season, from giving up an average of nearly 30 points in the first four games to 12.25 in the last four. 

Those numbers correspond to when freshman cornerback Lu-Magia Hearns was inserted into the starting lineup.

Coincidence? Maybe. But there is no doubt that Hearns has been a major contributor, and that his impact has increased.
