Cal will be recognizing the 30th anniversary of one of its greatest football seasons ever on Saturday night,

In 1991 the Bears coached by the late Bruce Snyder, compiled a 10-2 record and gob-smacked favored Clemson in the Citrus Bowl. But what looked like the beginning of an era of success actually became the end of one, as Snyder could not reach a contract agreement with athletic director Bob Bockrath.
