Bears Throw a Scare Into Wichita St.

November 20, 2017

Shaq Morris was dominant inside, with 25 points and 7 rebounds, and Landry Shamet was terrific as usual from the perimeter, scoring 23 including 4-4 from three, as Wichita St. pulled away from Cal late for a surprisingly close 92-82 win over the Bears.

But the real story was the young and inexperienced Bears building an 18-point lead early in the second half and looking as if they were going to pull off one of the greatest upsets in tournament history before foul trouble, lack of size and inexperience did them in.
