Aristotle Thompson Talks about Cal's Running Game

Aristotle Thompson was brought to Cal after 11 years at Cal Poly, to coach the running backs. His first year, 2020, was severely truncated by the pandemic, and 2021 had its own challenges. At last, in 2022, he’s got a full spring practice with backs who know him and his methods. And, he’s got a room with FIVE guys who averaged better than 5 yards per carry last season.

Asked about that bonanza of experienced talent, Thompson said, “That’s the way we built the room.
