Gaels Big First Half Too Much for Bears to Overcome

Cal actually won the second half of Saturday night's game against Saint Mary's at Haas Pavilion, outscoring the Gaels, 33-30, in the final 20 minutes.

Unfortunately the Gaels had piled up a 14-point lead by halftime and that insured their 74-63 victory.

Using the remedy for success that has worked for them for most of head coach Randy  Bennett's 17 years, the Gaels (6-2) opened a 10-1 lead before Cal (3-5) had a field goal.
