Bears Get on the Board Early With Commitment from '25 Folsom RB Carter Jackson
The Bears picked up their second commitment of the 2025 class - and their second running back- with today’s verbal from Folsom High School running back Carter Jackson.
The 5-9/175 rising junior has already visited the program in March and then again yesterday and this week’s visit sealed the deal for the speedy RB.
“Cal was the spot for me because I felt like the coaches believe strongly in my talent,” Jackson said. “AT is a great coach.
“My visit the other Day was awesome. Coach talked a lot about how the running back room is family and that there is a lot of completion but they challenge each other to be great.
“It was good to meet Coach Wilcox. He was super excited that I was there and even more excited when I committed.
“I think the visit made me feel like it was the right spot for me because of everything that Cal can offer. The academics are great and they have a great staff and are wanting to really compete on the field.”
Jackson had an impressive sophomore season at Granite Bay before transferring to Folsom this year, compiling 1,568 yards on the ground with 22 TDs and an additional 14 receptions for 306 yards and 3 more TDs through the air. A 2-way player, Jackson also had 43 tackles and a TFL on D at DB.
The 3 star RB currently also holds offers from Utah, Arizona, WSU, Syracuse and more.
