USC, which began the season with high hopes, comes into Haas Pavilion Thursday night in bit of turmoil. 

The Trojans (10-5, 1-1 Pac-12) will be minus their leading scorer for at least half of the game against Cal. That discipline comes on top of an FBI probe that has cost them the services of versatile guard De'Anthony Melton, prompted a couple of stellar recruits to decommit and led to the firing of an assistant coach.
