Jackson got his first career start after going 6-for-6 in spot duty at TCU last season before transferring to Cal. In his brief stint Saturday, Jackson went 3-for-4 for 36 yards and a touchdown pass to wide receiver Jeremiah Hunter along with 18 yards on the ground in 3 carries. One of his runs included a Houdini-like escape on the rush where he scrambled for 13 yards.The last of his 3 carries would spell the end of his day where he sustained an upper-body injury on a fumble out of bounds.
