Two strikingly similar programs will square off in Shreveport on Saturday.
Both on offense and defense, the Red Raiders and the Bears run very similar schemes, to the point that Cal didn’t have to run much in the way of a scout team in preparation, rather allowing “good on good” for much of practice.
Former Cal DC Tim DeRuyter will call the defensive plays and the Texas Tech secondary coach is former Bears assistant Marcel Yates.
