I love this video breakdown, it's refreshingly different than the media us fans are typically force fed.

I understand it requires more work to produce, so maybe video can be sprinkled in throughout the season when there's something to highlight. Rod has a lot of knowledge and insight, and most importantly conveys it in an authentic and interesting manner. Thanks for sharing, Rod!

What this shows me is that they are learning to play zone, but don't play it very well yet. It does look pretty sloppy the way they're playing defense. Thanks Rod for helping me to understand this. 1-3-1 does not look easy to master.

I'm not sure we have the personnel to play a 1-3-1. A 2-3 with our center in the paint looks like a better fit.

I bought Rod's audio book and listened while driving to and from a Cal basketball game (about 90 minutes each direction)

I listen to some audiobooks but some of them don't grab me and I never finish

But Rod had me locked in from the first minute. Partly it's his writing, partly because his reading it himself makes it real, part of it is his Cal stories, part of it is the format

Highly recommended, especially for a Cal BB fan who remembers him play at Cal
