Rod's wrong about SMU, though. It's the school where the wealthy, especially from Texas, send their kids for college. The alumni strongly support their school and are very willing to pay for their athletic program to do well. After all, SMU is the only school that received the death penalty for cheating (i.e., paying student athletes) in NCAA history.

Agreed, and the campus is located in Dallas' version of Beverly Hills.

Not the only source that has hinted at that. And Madsen is not the type of guy that would say it (or even leak it). When I was at the games (or watching on TV), I got the impression that he was rooting for and supporting his teammates, but it sounds like that was a facade. Too bad. We move on.

He seemed moody, but overall was rooting for the team on the bench. I am sure it has been a frustrating career for him after being hyped up so much. Good luck to him.
