Nice to get an L.A kid and beat out heavy weight and new conference semi-member Notre Dame for a player from Serra.
Serra Safety Tre' Harrison Calls it For Cal
The Bears picked up their second commitment of their 6/14 official visit weekend, with 6-0/175 safety Tre’ Harrison Serra-Gardena announcing his commitment to the Bears today.
“The fact that I’m able to get a great education with great ball made Cal the right fit,” Harrison said today after announcing his commitment. “It works directly with my desired degree (CS ). I also look forward to getting to play ACC competition all while becoming a better person, better player, and just having fun.

“Just being there, to be honest, is what I’m looking forward to. It’s a reward for the work I’ve already done to get my education paid for and possibly take my talents to another level.
The high 3 star safety’s visit two weeks ago sealed the deal for Cal.
“My Cal trip was great,” Harrison said after his official visit. “Very detailed, relaxing, & informative. The genuineness of the coaching staff and players really stood out. Everyone was welcoming, whether it was coaches from other position groups to even the regular students on campus.
“I got to connect with Coach Brown, Coach Watson and even Coach Wilcox on a better level and we interacted well. They are great coaches but also even better human beings. The different opportunities that can be lined up for me outside of football also stood out to me. The different connections Cal has through its various alumni and different internship programs would enable me to be well off on and off the field.”
Harrison had 46 tackles and 2 interceptions returned for 125 yards as a junior. He held offers from Notre Dame, Boston College, WSU and multiple Ivy offers before choosing Cal. Harrison has an impressive 4.71 gpa and also stars on the track, with a PR of 39.51 in the 300 low hurdles and on the hardcourt as well.
Harrison joins fellow DB commits Jae'on Young and Kaden Cook, RB Anthony League, WR Meyer Swinney, TE Jacob Houseworth, OG Ben Howard, OT Mike Klisiewicz, DEs Ike Okafor and Lebron Williams and LBs Carter Jones, Ke’Breion Winston and Beckham Barney.
