Cal, BYU To Meet In 2026, 2027

The California and BYU football teams have agreed to meet for a pair of non-conference games in a home-and-home series in 2026 and 2027. The Golden Bears will travel to Provo, Utah, on Sept. 12, 2026, with the Cougars making a trip to Berkeley on Sept. 11, 2027.
 
Cal has also completed its 2025 slate with Texas Southern coming to California Memorial Stadium for a Sept. 6 matchup next season. The Bears will battle an HBCU for the first time since Sept. 5, 2015, when Cal defeated Grambling State 73-14 in the season opener.  
 
It will be the sixth all-time matchup between the Bears and Cougars in 2026 with BYU holding a 3-2 advantage in the series. Cal won the most recent matchup, a 21-18 victory in Provo on Sept. 8, 2018, and has won two of the last three in the series. Texas Southern and Cal have never met on the football field.
