Cal Spring Practice Begins Wednesday
BERKELEY – The California football team will begin 2025 spring practice on Wednesday and hold 15 workouts at California Memorial Stadium – culminating with the Spring Showcase on Saturday, April 12.
The first seven practices will be open to the public at no charge, as will the Spring Showcase. Attendees can enter the stadium via Gate 2 in the northwest corner of the stadium.
More details about the Spring Showcase will be available at a later date. It is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. PT.
The Golden Bears advanced to a bowl game for the second straight season last year, earning a berth in the Art of Sport LA Bowl Hosted by Gronk. Cal returns a strong nucleus to its 2025 squad, led by linebacker Cade Uluave – an All-ACC honorable mention pick last season. Tight end Jack Endries also earned All-ACC honors.
Running backs Jaydn Ott and Jaivian Thomas are also back for the 2025 campaign along with wide receivers Jonathan Brady, Trond Grizzell, Tobias Merriweather and Kyion Grayes. The Bears also have an influx of impressive new faces, led by quarterbacks Devin Brown (Ohio State transfer) and Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele (five-star recruit).
