French finished the three-game series with a .769 batting average (10-for-13), eight runs scored, two doubles, three triples, four RBI, one hit by pitch, a 1.385 slugging percentage and a .786 on-base percentage, while reaching base safely in 11 of his 14 plate appearances.

He had back-to-back career-high-tying four-hit games in the first two contests against Stanford, as well as a pair of hits in both a March 18 victory at Saint Mary's and the series finale against the Cardinal on March 23.
