Cal Running Backs Preview: Lots of New Faces, Big Expectations

When the portal opened last winter and Kendrick Raphael, the back who carried the load in 2025 departed to SMU, senior LJ Johnson graduated and junior Brandon High headed back to UTSA, the running back room at Cal temporarily looked about as bare as it's been in a while. What was left wasn't going to worry anybody on the ACC schedule. So new head coach Tosh Lupoi and running backs coach Keith Bhonapha quickly got down to work and restocked the room and did it in a hurry.
