Teddye Buchanan Selected In Fourth Round Of NFL Draft

GREEN BAY, Wisc. – California linebacker Teddye Buchanan was selected 129th overall in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday. 

Buchanan is the 249th Golden Bear to be chosen in the NFL Draft all-time and becomes the 24th Cal linebacker to be selected in the draft.

Buchanan – who transferred to Cal ahead of the 2024 season following three years spent at UC Davis – paced the Golden Bear defense with 114 tackles while adding 12 tackles for loss, seven quarterback hurries, five sacks, four bass breakups and two forced fumbles.

Buchanan was named First Team All-ACC following the 2024 campaign.

As a very old linebacker, I will miss his intensity and wonder if he can even be replaced by someone who can stay more than a year with the Bears?
Bring back bottled beer and cigars at CMS. Should get us back in the Rose Bowl!

He's still only 22 years old. Mature and balanced. His NFL Combine numbers helped.
