James really grinded out there today, was fun to watch the entire round. He's a class act, a pleasure to speak to.

Seems like there is a glitch in the audio at about the 5 minute mark and again at about 9. Not sure what that's about. Apologies.

Unfortunately, the glitch at the 5-minute mark eliminated most of our discussion about how cool it is for him to come back to Riviera, where he won in 2015. He admitted it changed his life, as did having his daughter one week later, obviously. Two incredible moments in a one-week span. That was probably the best part of the interview.

Good, solid dude. Proud Cal representative. And we should be proud of him.

Awesome. Great to see the Bears out at the tourney. Too bad Hagy is hurt.
I will be out there tomorrow in my gold shirt Cal golf gear.
Go Bears!

With this weather, should see some good scores at Riv.

Hahn is a very impressive interview. Des certainly did a good job at developing well-rounded student athletes.

I arranged to be a standard bearer with James on the third day of the Sony Open in Honolulu last month. He shot -5 that day...then -7 the following to finish tied before losing a 5 hole playoff. Unbelievable last two rounds, but ran out of gas at the end.

As is the custom, he gave me a signed ball for our service...with his Go Bears on it, of course!

That's really cool.

Sony was actually a six hole playoff. He provided some cool insight about it in the interview I did with him on Thursday.
